How to Find Your Bed Buddy Model Number

Find the BBF model number on your Bed Buddy tag or package, and see why it matters for heating time, cleaning and warnings.

Quick answer

Your Bed Buddy model number begins with BBF followed by digits, for example BBF1998-12. Look at the sewn-in tag or caution tag on the wrap, or at the packaging. If those are gone, the order details of your purchase may list it.

Applies to: all Bed Buddy wraps and packs.

Why the model number matters

Our wraps do not share one set of instructions. Heating times, maximum heating time, cleaning notes and warnings differ from model to model. The model number is how you match your wrap to the right instructions.

Where to look

  1. The tag sewn into the seam. This is the caution tag. It usually has the model number and the heating instructions together.
  2. The packaging. Keep the box or a photo of it if you can.
  3. Your order record. The product page for the item you bought lists its model number.
  4. The wrap itself. If the tag has worn away, compare the shape, size and color with the table below.

Similar names do not mean identical products. For example, the Neck Pillow and the segmented Hot and Cold Neck Wrap are different designs with their own instructions. Some product listings also carry a model number that differs by a suffix. Match the number on your tag, not the name alone.

If you cannot find a number

  • Do not guess a heating time from a similar wrap.
  • If you cannot read your tag, ask the seller or Carex customer service for the instructions for your model before you heat it.
  • If the wrap has no tag and no way to confirm its model, it is safer to replace it.

Important: Never apply one model's microwave time to another. A wrap that is too hot can burn skin or damage the wrap.
